Currently, ProjectVillage™ is delivered as a subscription service in an Application Service Provider (ASP) model. 

Subscriptions are priced on an annual basis in blocks of concurrent users and billed quarterly. This means that a company's subscription is based on the maximum number of users logged in at any given time within a quarter. For instance, a company could create 30 usernames and passwords, one for each of its employees. At this point, any of the 30 users would be able to login. However, the subscription price is only based on how many of these 30 are logged in at the same time, which may only be 10. In this case, a subscription block of 10 would be sufficient in a concurrent scheme.

This model was chosen because it is more flexible for subscribing companies to administer than other pricing structures that are based on configured users. Furthermore, concurrent licensing is a far more accurate reflection of the actual use of the application than configured seats and, as such, is a better fit for software delivered as a service. On a configured pricing basis, with a subscription block of 10, the company above would only be able to create usernames and passwords for 10 of its employees. If this company wanted the flexibility of allowing any of its employees to log in at any time, they would need to subscribe 30 users in a configured model.

Because of this pricing structure, adding, modifying and deleting user accounts is completely self-administered by subscribing companies from within the application and does not require contacting us.
