ProjectVillage Chooses Informative Graphics Corp.'s Brava!T Technology for Web-Based Viewing and Collaboration in Online Construction

PHOENIX, Ariz.; November 3, 2000 - Informative Graphics Corp., the leading developer of Web-based visualization software for the rapidly expanding business-to-business collaboration marketplace, is pleased to announce a major agreement with ProjectVillageT, a leading provider of web-based project management and collaboration applications for the AEC industry. ProjectVillage has selected Brava!T Java-based viewing and collaboration software from Informative Graphics® to integrate viewing, markup and collaboration with it's project management platform.

ProjectVillage offers a web based suite of construction project management, collaboration and e-commerce applications based on a platform that enables true supply chain integration, extending business processes across organizational boundaries.

Among the benefits Brava! brings to ProjectVillage are: Anytime global access to documents, drawings and images by approved users, online viewing and redlining to review and approve design information and contributions to the reduction of project communication costs and errors.

The deployment permits design or documentation changes in the form of Brava! redline overlays to be associated and managed over the Web. In addition, metadata information is retrievable through the integration to build customized watermarks and banners for document status information. Since Brava! does not transfer the actual file to the client for display, the combined methodology creates a secure and trustworthy solution behind the firewall for supply and project collaboration activity.

With Brava!, no software is installed on users' systems; it is launched via standard Web browsers, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. Redlines are saved back to the server over the Web and made available to other project members to review and comment against.

"Our agreement with ProjectVillage is yet another validation of our Web-based collaboration vision," said Gary Heath, CEO and President of Informative Graphics. "In that the people behind ProjectVillage have a long and successful history in the AEC world, they know their business and how to grow it. We're pleased they have chosen IGC and Brava! to help them in this process."

"Our goal was to integrate fast and stable viewing and markup into our web-based project management platform", said Mark Bostleman, President of ProjectVillage. "Brava! fit that bill and, its support for multiple drawing formats, browser independence and lightweight client deployment, it was consistent with the design goals of our products. It was the clear choice."
